The controversial Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has declared 'EKITI PARAPO WAR' on the rampaging Fulani herdsmen stressing that a fight against one Ekiti man is a fight against all.
'I will raise 2.5 million for the affected families' the governor said referring to the 2 people that were murdered by Fulani Herdsmen in Ikole local government of Ekiti state.
He also vowed to resign as governor if he failed to provide adequate security for Ekiti people.
'The killing of our people must stop, those two people killed is a fight against all of us, we will rise and defend Ekiti' he said.
'They are Boko Harm people with AK 47 raping our wives, kids and killing us, they are hiding under the cover of herdsmen, and they want to come to the South-West gradually'
'Anywhere we find a cow grazing unnecessarily in Ekiti, we will take it down'
He also promised to empower the local hunters with vehicles, mobile gadgets and cash to enable them fight the rampaging herdsmen.
Fayose also banned the movement of cattle for grazing and rearing purposes in the state following the attack on Oke-Ako in Ikole local government area of the State by Fulani herdsmen which left 2 dead and several injured on Friday, May 20.
He finished by saying 'Don't run away, Ekiti is your home, we will defend it and provide adequate security'
